Games I Tried To Love But Just Couldn't Play
🎮 Games I Tried To Love But Just Couldn't
We've all been there. You hear the hype, see the stunning trailers, and have high hopes for a new game. But sometimes, despite your best efforts, it just doesn't click. Maybe the gameplay is too slow, the story drags on, or the controls feel clunky. Today, let's talk about those games we really *wanted* to love but ultimately couldn't.
🤠 My Personal Struggle with Red Dead Redemption 2
I'll admit, I went into Red Dead Redemption 2 with high expectations. The sheer level of detail in the world, the compelling story premise, and the promise of an immersive cowboy experience all sounded incredible.
I gave it two serious attempts – each playthrough lasting several hours. I wanted to get lost in that world, experience every story beat, and fully appreciate the artistry involved. But, there was a hurdle I just couldn't overcome: the pace.
⏳ The Slow Burn
RDR2 is known for its slow, deliberate storytelling.
While this can be immersive for some players, I found myself getting restless. The constant long animations and methodical progression felt more like a simulation than an engaging game.
Don't get me wrong, the world is beautiful, the characters are well-developed, and the writing is top-notch. It just wasn't the kind of game I wanted to play at that moment.
